No school for students and teachers

Early Release Day on Wednesday, September 24th

Students will be dismissed at 12:35 PM tomorrow - Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Please remember to plan accordingly. 

Class DoJo

Parents, letters went out today to invite parents and students to sign up for Class DoJo, a great way for teachers to inform parents about their children's great behavior and things they need to work on. Please let me know if you are participating or not participating by sending back the form. Thank you so much!

Back to School Night

Back to School Night for grades 3 to 5 will be this Thursday from 6:45-8:30 PM. Parents, I hope you can come! You'll be able to meet your child's teachers, get a quick snapshot of the fourth grade curriculum, visit the classrooms, and sign up for conferences.

Keep Those Bottles Coming!

Please keep those 2-liter clear, NOT green, and cleaned soda bottles coming! Each ecocolumn students will be makling in class requires 3 bottles. Thank you very much!

  

Spelling City

Good news!  Students will now be able to log onto Spelling City with their passwords using this link:
http://www.spellingcity.com/Moy1415/
Students can practice their spelling and vocabulary words by playing fun word games. Activities may be done at home and at school; however, tests are to be completed ONLY at school. Spelling City also offers games for students to practice a host of other academic skills, too.

Welcome to my classroom blog! What does PTS stand for in PTS Connection? It stands for Parents, Teachers, and Students. My hope is that this blog will help us stay connected throughout the school year. Homework assignments will be posted daily on my blog. Visit often! In the future I will add links for other subjects, too. Please stay tuned.

Attention, Math Students in Mrs. Moy's Class!

Occasionally, I may assign online games as part of homework. There are tons of Math games online that I've included as links that will help you with your Basic Facts and other Math concepts. Parents will need to sign off each night any games you practice for at least 20 minutes on logs I'll provide. If you have no Internet access, don't worry. Time will be given for you to practice in our classroom or you can take advantage of other low tech options such as flashcards or pencil-and-paper activities.
